OUCARES - OU Center for Autism Outreach
Oakland University Center for Autism Outreach Services (OUCARES) has a mission of improving the quality of life of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, their families, and our larger community by offering quality and comprehensive programming across the lifespan.

We work with over 2,000 individuals impacted by Autism annually by offering recreational sports, social and life skills training, employment skills programs, parents supports, and community events.   OUCARES programming is designed for 3 year olds through adults on the Autism Spectrum.

YOU can make a difference and help improve the quality of life of individuals impacted by Autism by donating to OUCARES. Donations will be used to develop programs, purchase much-needed supplies, offer participant scholarships, and expand our outreach.

THANK YOU for your generous support!

Grace Centers of Hope
As a part of our recovery programs at Grace Centers of Hope, we promote health and wellness through physical activity and healthy eating. We recognize exercise as a very important part of the recovery process for those who are addicted to drugs and alcohol. Our desire is to help our residents establish HEALTHY routines they can embrace for a lifetime! We are encouraging individuals and families in the community to become more physically active as well by joining our residents and staff as we participate in the RACE 4 GRACE at the BROOKSIE WAY.

We invite anyone passionate about promoting health and wellness to RUN with us and/or join us in our fundraising efforts for this event. We anticipate 500+ runners joining us and we encourage them to raise or contribute $300 each to Grace Centers of Hope.

Teacher's Pet: Dogs and Kids Learning Together

Teacher's Pet: Dogs and Kids Learning Together is an intervention program that pairs troubled youth with hard-to-adopt shelter dogs for a multi-week workshop in positive, reward-based dog training and behavior modification in an effort to make the dogs more adoptable.  Since 2005, we have worked with more than 2,200 kids and 3,100 dogs in Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties!

The mission of Teacher's Pet is to empower at-risk youth to improve in the areas of empathy, patience, impulse control, perseverance and hope. Participants are paired with hard-to-adopt rescue dogs for positive, reward-based dog training to increase the dogs' chances of becoming adopted and remaining in their homes permanently.

Sheriff PAL Program
The Sheriff PAL Program began in 2015 with the goal of offering local youth free sports programming throughout the year. In our time as a program we have served over 1,000 local youth - with that number growing each season. We have offered sports such as soccer, basketball, baseball/softball, tee-ball, flag football, and cheer leading. Recently we have teamed up with a local business (Max Out Fitness) to create a Fitness and Mentoring program that offers youth guidance, workouts, and educational trips all around the metro-Detroit area.
